The High Sierra Chapter was established in 1977 and has hosted two
Regional Conferences. We have been voted by the American Culinary
Federation “ACF Chapter of the Year” in 1989 and have
received “Are you really ACF” gold plates in 1993 and 1999.

menus for many functions. From breakfast to dinner, and everything in
between, this culinary team will strive to make every meal a great
one!
Michael A. Norton, CEC, AAC, ACE, Executive Chef at John
Ascuaga’s Nugget Resort Casino
Chef Norton has been a culinary leader for more than thirty years.
In August 2008, he joined the staff at John Ascuaga’s Nugget. He
leads an expansive culinary staff responsible for nine diverse
restaurants, an in-house bakery and a thriving catering department. The
Nugget offers a wide variety of dining outlets, from upscale fine dining
with a unique Basque influence and a top notch steakhouse, to a world
class buffet and casual 24 hour coffee shop.

Keith Sadanaga, Banquet Chef at John Ascuaga’s Nugget
Chef Keith Sadanaga, a native of Hawaii, brings imagination to his
food preparation at John Ascuaga’s Nugget as the Banquet Chef. He
leads the team of chefs that turns ordinary meeting rooms into gourmet
feasts for anywhere from 5 to 1,500 guests.
